Plastic pollution is like red cars; they are out of your conscious until someone points it out and you see it everywhere in your daily lives.
Plastic is not the issue; irresponsible use and disposal of plastic is the issue. 91% of plastic is not recycled and disposed into the ocean.
The impacts of plastic pollution is significant, particularly for our marine life. Turtles, seabirds, dolphins, fish, anything that eats something smaller than itself is susceptible to fatally ingesting plastic of some kind. And of course as we consume fish that have eaten plastic, or eaten something that has eaten plastic, we too consume plastic.
The current plastic situation affects both humans and animals. It is time for us to rethink the way we consume products and seek alternatives to Single Use Plastic.
Here at Earth & Friends, our mission is to reduce the usage of single use plastic with innovative Eco Friendly alternatives.
